We finally got around to taking some somewhat decent photos of our kitchen now that it’s complete. Here’s a reminder of what we started with:
And here it is today:
We are thrilled with how it all turned out. It feels like a brand new kitchen, even though the cabinets are all original. And a fun fact about that: we learned, upon moving in, that there is not clearance for our coffee pot or Kitchen Aid mixer. Perhaps those weren’t standard household items when the house was built? Anyway, we bought an adorable baby-sized coffee pot from Japan, I believe, and our Kitchen Aid is stored away for special occasions. But lesson learned, dear pals, measure your appliances when doing a kitchen make-over. Or don’t and keep telling yourself, “it adds character.” Which is what we say about every weird quirk of this house- and there are several.
Okay and a few more of the kitchen in use: :
