7 small things on a wednesday

okay it’s early Thursday morning here… but we can all agree that ‘Wednesday’ is really just a state of mind, right?

also… my computer is on it’s way out but I’m in major denial. Right now the tab at the top of my page is a blur of black and white pixels like static on an old t.v. and occasionally it makes an actual static sound! who knew?? anyway, it’s a bad scene.

Last week I ended up with some unexpected time to myself. I went to Cafe No Se at the new(ish) South Congress Hotel, ate avocado toast and read my book.

Baby conductor, monkey caboose and Digby sidecar.
We crashed a birthday party at our local park and took full advantage of their fancy bubble machine. Thank you to Quinn for having the most epic birthday party that we haven’t been invited to.
The day this child grows into this smock will be a sad one for me. For now, he looks like a cross between an Angel in the Nutcracker shuffling around in a floor-length dress and a blacksmith.
Luke has a new friend, Willy, and here’s hoping this is not a peek into their future adolescent selves.
I made Luke a little art corner- which is really for me so I don’t have to sit on the floor all day long. My mom gave us that beautiful print and it says this: “In my dream the angel shrugged and said if we fail this time it will be a failure of imagination – and then she placed the world gently in the palm of my hand.” Sure makes sense why she’s spent a career educating young children.
I’ll have what he’s having.
